Wallpapers

Too often when I'm flying from here to there or I just see an interesting sight, I'll turn off the HUD and snap a few screenies for my PC's Wallpaper. Here are some (with a little stylization for my own taste):

Home is Where the Hearth Is

What do you consider your hub for town activity? Ironforge? Orgrimmar? Well apparently Blizzard thinks that we'll all flock to (and stay in) the new cities once the Burning Crusade is released:

From this gamespy article:

We also got brief tours of the expansion races' home cities -- Exodar for Draenei and Silvermoon for Blood Elves -- as part of today's demo, and suffice it to say that Blizzard is predicting that these areas will replace Orgrimmar and Ironforge as their factions' premier gathering hubs. They're anticipating the rush by putting two banks and auction houses in each city.

And from Sprawl's Scrawl:
The fully functional Silvermoon City is so large, there will be "translocation portals" placed through the isle to help with travel. The capital city is outfitted with multiple Auction Houses and Banks to accommodate the overwhelming stress this new town will see come release day.

I would be happy just as long as there was no indoor lava moat.

p.s. This picture is my PC's background. If you like it, you can see more like it here, where I got it.

Disney's Animal Kingdom and The Barrens

In a very "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" making-mashed-potatoes-into-the-Devil's-Tower kind of moment I felt the need to create the photo at bottom to compare to the World of Warcraft wallpaper on the top.

And I still feel like it's not done yet.

Meanwhile somewhere at Blizzard someone is scrambling to shred memos between them and Disney because we're on to their secret subliminal advertising.
